TPO Account Executive

Job Description

The Account Manager is responsible for growing the Mortgage Banking division via onboarding of new third-party originators, as well as organic growth of existing business.

  • Actively identify, sell, and onboard new third-party origination or retail mortgage origination business
  • Must maintain familiarity with the technology, tools, processes and procedures used by the mortgage banking division
  • Must maintain familiarity with the loan products offered by the mortgage banking division
  • Act as first point of contact for third party originators, and provide initial onboarding training and support
  • Communicate professionally and efficiently with customers, as well as internal stakeholders
  • Responsible for being compliant with all regulations and compliance requirements pertaining to job function.
  • Carries out other duties that may be assigned or requested

Broker Service Representative

Job Description

The Broker Service Representative (BSR) acts as a liaison between the client (broker) and First Savings Bank operational process. Principal duties are to assist the Account Manager (AM) with onboarding of new Brokers. Work with clients as their primary contact and works in conjunction with AM in building and maintaining broker relationships. Share responsibility with Loan Coordinator for communicating policies and loan flow to the various clients. Monitor pipeline and with communicating updates to brokers and AM; helps to keep loans moving smoothly through the system. Provide support to AMs and RSMs as needed. Keep informed of current and acceptable practices. Effectively communicates with brokers and AMs in a timely manner. Performs related duties as assigned by supervisor.

Job Description

The Mortgage Banking TPO Inside Account Executive is responsible for growing the Mortgage Banking TPO Division via onboarding of new third-party originators, as well as organic growth of the existing business through the Mortgage Banking TPO Inside Sales Team

  • Actively identify, sell, and onboard new third-party origination business
  • Prospect new third-party originators on an ongoing basis via all appropriate means (telephone, email, print, social media) to generate mortgage loans. Re-engage dormant and inactive third-party originators throughout the country to increase client wallet share
  • Develop and maintain all business opportunities within a defined territory
  • Assist in obtaining sufficient and complete documentation from the third-party originators as required by FSB Mortgage’s underwriting/processing guidelines
  • Must maintain familiarity with the technology, tools, processes, and procedures used by the Mortgage Banking Division
  • Must maintain familiarity with the loan products offered by the Mortgage Banking Division
  • Act as the first point of contact for third-party originators, and provide initial onboarding training, support, and customer service throughout all phases of the loan process

Job Description

The Outside Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO) is responsible for establishing relationships with potential borrowers through lead self-generation, and in some cases by working with company-provided leads. The Outside MLO will facilitate the relationship between bank and borrower throughout the lifecycle of the mortgage process and ensure all compliance guidelines are strictly adhered to. The Outside MLO will act in accordance with the corporate ethics policy and ensure all business is conducted with the utmost integrity.

  • Continually identify, develop, and maintain a quality network of business relationships and serve as a recurring source of referrals for new lending opportunities to grow portfolio of leads
  • Interview loan applicants, collect and review financial and related information, and determine the general creditworthiness of the prospect and the specific merits of the loan request for purchase, refinance and construction loans on residential real estate property
  • Establish and negotiate the terms under which credit will be extended, including the costs, repayment method, collateral requirements, and other relevant information
  • Develop materials for the presentation of loans as necessary
  • Assure the appropriate reports are completed accurately and filed in a timely manner
  • Own the primary communication and collection and upload of required documents from borrower
  • Proactively communicate with borrowers throughout the lifecycle of the mortgage process
  • Quickly communicate approvals or denials to loan applicants
  • Inform clients of institutions underwriting guidelines and applicable government regulations
  • Communicate complex approvals to real estate agents or builder as appropriate
  • Manage personal pipeline to ensure service standards, financial goals and objectives for individual performance as it relates to overall branch goals
  • Keep up with educational requirements and maintain a working knowledge of laws regulations, programs and products
  • Comply will all applicable federal and state compliance guidelines relative to the position
  • Carry out such other duties as may be assigned or requested

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in outside mortgage sales origination, including established contacts/relationships with the purchase market.
  • Experience and proven success in proactively soliciting new mortgage business
  • One to three years’ experience in collecting and analyzing borrower income and negotiating skills
  • Thorough knowledge of all mortgage products and programs
  • Self-motivated with good organizational and interpersonal skills
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Proficiency in standardized software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
  • NMLS License required
